Court Remands Man in Prison Over Missing Manhood

The next time somebody shake your hand in a strange manner that makes you feel somewhat uncomfortable from within, it would be advisable you check your self properly and be sure of what you feel or believe you're feeling before taking another step.

Something strange happened at the Idumagbo area of Lagos last week Monday that has remained a mystery to the 'victim' irrespective of how the issue is playing out at the moment. While the authorities see  it as raising false alarm, some of those present at the scene of the incident hold a contrary view. The story is both interesting and controversial...
According to a suit filed before an Igbosere Magistrate Court, the police alleged that the 'victim' - 24 years old Ibrahim Abdulahi - now an accused, raised false alarm on the 3rd of September, 2011, that his manhood disappeared after one Michael Ene shook hands with him.

The victim had raised an alarm that his penis suddenly became smaller than it was before the said Michael Ene shook hands with him, but before the situation could degenerate into a fight, some elders in the area advised the youths who wanted to lynch the suspect not to take the law into their hands.

After heated arguments, it was agreed that he (Ibrahim) should be taken to a nearby hospital for checkup. Funny enough, by the time they get to the hospital, the guy's manhood had returned to its original state. And the doctor on duty confirmed that his manhood was functioning normally.

So, for "raising false alarm", Ibrahim was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on a two-count charge of Unlawfully Conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace.

The "offence" committed by the victim turned accused, according to the prosecutor - ASP Julius Oyakhilome - is punishable under Section 219(d) and 192 of the Criminal Code. When the charges were read to him Ibrahim pleaded not guilty and was granted bail by the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Bamibiwon, in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.

Unfortunately for Ibrahim he could not perfect his bail condition, hence he was ordered to be remanded in Ikoyi Prison and the case adjourned to 20th October.

Seriously, similar incident once happened to someone in my area several years back. The same scenario played out, that is a guy's manhood that went missing suddenly returned to normal when people gathered the suspect and alas there was no evidence to prove that the crime took place in the first place. Our laws also does not recognize such beliefs... But no doubt the two of them know the truth of this matter.
