Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has joined the league of record label owners in the highly competitive Nigeria entertainment industry. I heard his own firm is known as
Premiere Records, and that the idea was born out of his desire to help young artistes who are looking up to him in the industry.
“
A lot of up-and-coming musicians have been on my neck, asking me to create the same platform for musical talents in Nigeria... So, I decided by starting within me and I am hopeful it will help to project some young talents,” the award-winning comedian told a reporter.
