Police Arrests Hollywood Star, Daryl Hannah, for Protesting Outside the White House

For spear-heading a protest against a planned stretch of oil pipeline from the United States to Canada in front of the White House, Hollywood star, Daryl Hannah, has been arrested by the Police. She was taken into custody along with other environmental-right activists.

The 50-year-old Splash star and her group are clamouring for clean energy investments rather than the prevailing dependence on fossil fuels. She told newsmen that her group intend using the rally to advise President Barack Obama against bowing to oil lobbyists in the US.

Recall that this is not the first time Daryl Hannah will be arrested over environmental-related causes. In fact, she’s known to live “off the grip” by generating her own electricity and water. All her cars run on leftover grease from fast-food outlets, she even has a compost toilet... Instead of arrestign her, I think they should listen to her cause.  This woman is one of the few activists I've seen who do practice what they are preaching.
