A Lagos landlord, Mr. I.F. Fadoyebo, has dragged popular Nollywood big boy, Freed Amata, before a Magistrate court for 'illegally' occupying his four-bedroom bungalow situated at No. 8 Razaq Balogun Street in the Surulere area of Lagos. The court action was as a result of the actors 'refusal' to pay his rent for the past twelve months - one year.
The yearly rent for the said apartment is N600,000 and it is unclear why the respected actor has refused to do the right thing. I hear he did not show up in court when the matter came up for hearing but his lawyer said he was sick. Another source have it that he refused to comment on the incident, claiming he was still mourning the death of his mother who passed on last month... The landlord said he has served him a quit notice but the guy refused to acknowledge same.
