Sexual Assault Case Against Ex-IMF Chief, Strauss-Kahn, Dismissed

A New York judge on Tuesday dropped the criminal sexual assault charges against ex-IMF chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, after prosecutors said they’ve lost faith in the credibility of his accuser. "If we do not believe her beyond a reasonable doubt, we cannot ask a jury to do so," they argued.

The decision gave freedom to the man seen by many as a leading contender to the office of President of France and a fresh chance to rebuild his ‘tarnished’ political career. The former IMF chief appeared in court with his wife, Anne Sinclair, and the pair left the hearing smiling.

However, Strauss-Kahn is not yet free to return to France, after New York State Supreme Court Justice, Michael Obus, stayed his dismissal of the case for an emergency appeal.... Will keep you guys posted with the rest of the case.
