65 Years Old Bedridden Woman Walks After 11 Years

Madam Margaret, a 65-year old Nigerian woman who suffered severe rheumatoid arthritis and had not walked for the last 11 years, is now walking again. Thanks to some Indian doctors who performed three separate surgeries on her to correct the anomaly.

Narrating her ordeal in the past, Madam Margaret said: "My fingers were so swollen, I could not even brush my teeth, my grand daughter used to help me. I couldn't stand up, couldn't walk. I couldn't go to the church. My daughter used to help me wash. My cook would feed me. And I was in great pain. I used to cry day and night".

But all that has now become history after she was flown to a private hospital in India for the complex surgeries. Sources at the hospital disclosed that she would be fit to fly back to Nigeria and begin a new life after regular physiotherapy for the next few weeks... Good for her that she didn't make the "mistake" to be treated here in Nigeria, maybe it would have been a different story; no light, poor medical equipment, poorly remunerated doctors, etc.
