"Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" the 6th Harry Potter movie, enchanted movie goers as more than half of North America's total weekend ticket sales following its record mid week opening. Figures shows that the movie earned 79.4 million in the Friday to Sunday period, for a total haul of $159.6 million Wednesday, according to preliminary figures from box office tracker Exhibitor Relations. It earned $237 million from 84 foreign markets for a total of $396.6 million.It shattered the record of "Spiderman 3" when it opened last 2007 with 381.7 million including foreign sales of $230.5 million.
But "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" still has the biggest opening so far with $200 million, $3.8 million short of breaking the record of the "Dark Knight".
