Top 10 Beauties of the century utter rubbish!

I got in a right mood this week over a silly beauty rating. But I think I was justified and I'm very sure many of you would or already do agree with me. So, QVC recently surveyed british women to find out who they thought was the most beautiful woman of the 20th century. No surprise who won the overall vote!

The stunning Audrey Hepburn of course.

Well obviously that wasn't why I got so annoyed, she would have been my choice for number 1 too!

But lets see what you ladies think of this...

The top 10 most beautiful women were voted as:

1. Audrey Hepburn

2. Cheryl Cole

3. Marilyn Monroe

4. Angelina Jolie

5. Grace Kelly

6. Scarlett Johansson

7. Halle Berry

8. Diana, Princess of Wales

9. Kelly Brook

10. Jennifer Aniston

(in that order!!)

Now I'm sure you can see why I got so miffed! Who in God's name did QVC ask! Granted all these women are beautiful, but to be voted in the top 10 most beautiful women of the 20th century! Most annoying Cheryl Cole/Tweedy getting number 2! Really! I'm very sorry she may be lovely but she ain't that beautiful and she has cosmetic surgery, hair extensions, fake tan, make-up and Photoshop on her side unlike the true beauty of Audrey, Marilyn and Grace Kelly. The people they asked clearly didn't have that greater knowledge of women in history or outside our culture either! And it's so annoying! She is a 'flash in the pan' celebrity who's memory and beauty will never outlive the likes of Audrey. I would love to hold a vote of fashion/beauty bloggers (people who do understand style and beauty!) to see who they would choose for the top 10 (in fact I may well do this!)

Obviously this is a personal choice thing and you may all disagree with me. But if this was down to me I would probably remove Cheryl, Jolie, Johansson, Diana and Aniston from the top 10. Like I said they are beautiful but not the most beautiful of the last century. There are so many other women which could have been featured in it. Here are just a few ladies I would have considered more beautiful than half the women in the list.

Obviously there are so so many beautiful women and they cannot all be featured. But truthfully ladies if you had to choose your top 3 who would they be?
