“We have decided to add some sparks of excitement to the event this year by introducing the best kiss in a Nigerian movie category. The category has some strong contenders which include: Uche Jombo and Kalu Ikeagwu [Damage], Odunade Adekola and Toks Oke [Booku], Tonto Dike and Muna Obiekwe [Dirty Secrets], and Majid Michel and Genevieve Nnaji [Bursting Out]”.
Those were the words of Funmi Adeyina, brand manager of Best of Nollywood Awards, while introducing the latest category that actors and actresses will contend for in this year’s BON Awards. She described the Awards as a deliberate effort to elevate standards, excellence and hard work in Nollywood.
About 190 movies were submitted for this year’s edition, 28 categories of awards are up for grabs. The event will be hosted by comedian Tee A and actress Ini Edo.
