Mother of Sextuplets Dies of Complications

Mrs. Ajoke Bello, a 32 years old woman who gave birth to a set of sextuplet through caesarean operation last week in Ogun State, passed on in the early hours of Sunday due to complications.

The chairman of the board of OOUTH, Professor Femi Ajayi, had this to say about her death: "It was an unfortunate incident. The doctors and nurses at the hospital put in their best to ensure that the woman lived. She was under close monitoring as the medical team did not leave any stone unturned to ensure that she was alive."

You may wish to know that over half a million women die during childbirth annually around the world and Nigeria alone accounts for about 10% of these deaths... Anyway, the babies - three girls and three boys – are said to be in a stable condition... May God keep the kids.
