I Spit on Your Grave (2010)

I never thought they would make a remake of the film, I never saw the original movie, though I did see some of the brutal parts of the film especially the rape scenes and the revenge. But for me compared to the first movie the rape scene is less brutal compared to the original one, (is there's such thing as less brutal??? hahahaha) What I mean is that compared to the original movie the remake is hmmm less savage??( maybe that the right word to use) compared to the original which was really brutal (okay here I go again with the really brutal word). Although the movies plot is still the same as the original with Sarah Butler as the lead actress portraying Jennifer Hills, a novelist who rents a cabin, then gets abuse and rape by a gang of local males, then ditching her body in a river. The gang thought she was dead, then a few week's later reappears to get revenge against the people who rape and abuse her.

I don't know if I should recommend this movie to you, but if you want to see a woman being rape and abuse, and then sets on to avenge using Jigsaw like skill well by all means watch this one.

Irreversible

Some of my friends have a negative comment on this film when they saw it. They said it was violent, brutal etc etc. So I had to see it to believe it, when I finally had a copy of the movie. Well they were right there was some violence in the film, the rape scene involving Alex(Monica Belluci) was brutal.

But the film itself was great, well I got to admit it, the way the film is shot in reverse order was new to me. The film also shows us how violent and sickening a person can be. Hats off to the director on showing to the audience how disgusting an act of rape is, and how it can greatly affect the person who is linked to the one that is raped, be it a lover, relatives or friends. Definitely a movie to see.

MARTYRS

Brutal, disturbing, sad are the many words that come to my mind in describing this movie. Others who would come to watch this may have mix reaction to the movie, some may be offended to some scenes in the movie or some may not have the stomach to watch the violence and the gore. All I can tell you is the first half of the movie is about revenge but the second half was disturbing. A movie worth watching?? maybe, maybe not. Its up to you hehehehhe.
