London Trip

Well our trip to London was great. We had a lovely time visiting galleries and touristy places, then saw We Will Rock You in the evening! It was amazing!
Here is a little trailer of the show

And here is what I wore: (warning image heavy post!)
Jacket: Desigual
Top: Bianca Nygard
Skirt: Topshop
Tights: Can't remember
Shoes: Peacocks
Necklace: c/o Corazon Latino
Belt: Newlook
What do you think of my new necklace? I was gifted it by Corazon Latino a great jewellery site which stocks beautiful and unusual jewellery. This is a chiming pendant which gives off a very faint chiming noise, it is beautiful. Or I can remove the bell and the necklace looks completely different.
I'm actually clashing with the dodgy carpet and curtains of our hotel room, lol.
My hubs on Carnaby Street

FEVER LONDON!!! Yay I actually got to the store, and it is amazing. Just drooled over the dresses for half an hour!
The show! It was truly brilliant.

China town, as we had yet to make it there. We went back at night as we thought all the lanterns would light up, sadly they didn't just the big ones!

These were both part of the 'Power of Making' exhibition in the V&A. We also saw the 'House of Annie Lennox' exhibition which was brilliant, but you couldn't take any photos!

These were all in the Tate Modern.

Anyone else been on a little trip lately?

p.s. I am wanting a blog overhaul and redesign, any one able to do that for me, or know of someone who could?

Outfit Post - Cardiff Castle

If you read yesterdays post, you will know I was gifted an item by Very.com from the new Fearne Cotton Collection. And some of you tried to guess which item it was that I chose, well... here you go.

First we went to Cardiff Castle to take some pretty pictures in my new dress which was...
The Seagull Print Vintage Dress!!
Isn't it pretty!

Dress: c/o Very.com
Tights: Random
Cardi: Hand me down from my mum
Pumps: Peacocks:
Necklace: Gift from Parents
Lace Bangle and Black Bow ring: Internationale
Silver Bangle: Lost and found in pub
It's such a bold print I didn't think it needed a lot else with it so kept it minimal with black tights, simple black pumps, my fur trimmed cardi(it's still cold here in the wind!) and a gold necklace.
It has these cute gold buttons on the front and back and arms, which give it a slight military feel.

And it's longer at the back than at the front, which I was a little sceptical of at first but I actually love how it flows.
I did have to safety pin it at the bust as the cross over was too low with my small chest, but it still looks great I think.

How would you style this?
I am thinking of my frill front sleeveless blouse, waistcoat and brogues next? Any opinions?

Shrug: Unbranded - borrowed from my mum
Shoes: Primark
Hairbow: Primark
Bangle and Ring: Gift from my friend Rachel
Necklace: Gift from my Aunty Margaret
Jacket: C&A
With my Hubby

Hope you like it.

Are you doing anything fun this bank holiday? Think of me, I will be working all day

Friend Friday - My favourite Item

This weeks Friend Friday is being hosted by Ashley Getting Dressed and she asked us what our favourite item of clothing was and why.

Well here is mine. I had a quick think about it and I honestly came down to these shoes - my brogues. There are just so versatile and I wear them all the time. I have paired them with just about every time of outfit and somehow they just always work. If you have been reading my blog for a while no doubt you will have noticed me wearing them a lot.
I love black & white together for a start so these were always going to be a hit with me, but I also love how they are a very feminine version of a typical brogue because of the little heel. Which is the perfect size, I am not a skyscrapers kinda girl, they just hurt my feet and I am tall enough without heels, so these are great
They also have a very delicate traditional lace edge pattern around the edges which is just so cute. Plus they are mega comfy! lol!
These are just 2 outfits with the brogues so you can see how I like to style them.
They came from New Look for just £10 in the sale. I actually returned a top my mother had bought me which I didn't like and got these instead! So quids in! hehe!

What's your favourite item of clothing?

Outfit post - First in the new house!

A post!! Lol! That's kinda a big thing as I have been a little lax lately, just been so ridiculously busy lately. And life is gonna be even busier for the next 2 weeks but after that hopefully everything will slow down a little.

Anyway we are in the new place now, and almost sorted, I promise to give you all a tour when it is officially finished.
But here is my first outfit shot from the new place in my new fav location, our tiny balcony! I also love hipstamatic, so expect to see more photos like this!
Jeans: Denim Co
Top/dress: Dorothy Perkins
Lace Jacket: Vintage
Shoes (not in shot): Peacocks
Rose Necklace: Scope Charity Shop
Heart Ring: Dorothy Perkins
And a normal shot. Although you can't see the top, it has a few buttons up the front. And it's actually a dress!!
What do you think of our little balcony?
See you again soon hopefully.
