Charlize Theron, my pick for the Marilyn Monroe Movie.

No disrespect to Michelle Williams, but in my opinion.. I would have loved to have seen Charlize Theron, get the part in the new movie.. My Week With Marilyn Monroe. I think that she looks more like, Marilyn Monroe.

Charlize Theron(born 7 August 1975). At the age of sixteen, Theron travelled to Milan after winning a local competition. She went to New York with Pauline's Model Management. After her one year contract ended, she attended the Joffrey Ballet School, where she trained as a ballet dancer. A knee injury ended her career at 19.

After which, Theron flew to Los Angeles on a one-way ticket. Soon after, she went to a bank to cash a cheque her mother had sent her, the teller refused to cash it. After getting into a shouting match with her, a talent agent in line behind her handed her his business card and introduced her to some casting agents and got her into acting school.

After several months, she was cast in a non-speaking role in the film, Children of the Corn III (1995). Her first speaking role was in the film, 2 Days in the Valley. Larger roles films followed, The Devil's Advocate (1997), Mighty Joe Young (1998), and The Cider House Rules (1999). She was on the cover of the January 1999 issue of Vanity Fair as the "White Hot Venus".

Theron, later starred as the serial killer in the film, Monster (2003). Film critic Roger Ebert called it "one of the greatest performances in the history of the cinema". For this role, Theron won the Academy Award for Best Actress at the 76th Academy Awards in February 2004,as well as the SAG Award and the Golden Globe Award.She is the first South African to win an Oscar for Best Actress.

On 30 September 2005, Theron received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In the same year, she starred in the science fiction thriller, Æon Flux. Theron received Best Actress Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in the drama, North Country.

In 2005 Theron portrayed Rita, in the television series, Arrested Development. She also received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for her role in the 2004 HBO film, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

In 2008, she also starred in the film, Hancock and in late 2008 she was asked to be a UN Messenger of Peace by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.

In October 2009, Theron was cast to star in a sequel to the Mad Max films, titled Mad Max: Road Fury, which filmed at Broken Hill in New South Wales, Australia in late 2010. Theron has been cast in the role of the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Susan Sarandon (born October 4, 1946)

Got her start in daytime soap operas in the early 70's such as A World Apart and

Search For Tomorrow. Made some notable films in the 70's including

The Front Page, The Great Waldo Pepper and cult fave, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

She broke out in the 80's as one of film's most dependable actresses in such films like

Atlantic City (with Hollywood legend Burt Lancaster), The Witches of Eastwick, Bull Durham,

and A Dry White Season. Susan would continue into the 90's with the modern classic,

Thelma and Louise. Other notable films include The Client, a remake of Little Women, and

Lindsay Lohan "looks like" Lana Turner.

Lindsay Lohan (born July 2, 1986). Began her career as a child fashion model before making her movie debut in Disney's remake of, The Parent Trap(1998). Lohan gained further fame between 2003 and 2005 with leading roles in the films: Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and Herbie.

Lana Turner (February 8, 1921 – June 29, 1995), was discovered and signed to a film contract by MGM at the age of sixteen, Turner first attracted attention in the film, They Won't Forget (1937). She also performed in the films: Love Finds Andy Hardy (1938), Johnny Eager (1941), Ziegfeld Girl (1941) and Somewhere I'll Find You (1942). The story takes place in Siberia, during the Russian Civil War. Peasant Sergei, is searching for food, when He meets a mysterious young woman traveling to the town of Novokursk. She asks Sergei to tell people along the way that he is her husband. Even though they do not really look like a couple. They find an abandoned house where they rest...



but... a stranger is hiding inside. Sergei soaks the woman's feet and makes a bed for her. The stranger comes out of hiding and is soon joined by his friends, who beat Sergei. The two are rescued by White cavalry. The woman turns out to be, Countess Alexandrova. In Novokursk, the countess stays with the wealthy Gaidaroff family. After Sergei leaves hospital, he goes to see the countess, who finds him a job. When the Whites leave town, to fight off the Reds, the Reds go looking for the countess...

I thought Chaney gave a emotional performance through a wonderfully transforming makeup job. His character is rude, dirty and sometimes evil, but.. by the end of the film you find yourself sympathizing with him. Bedford, is wonderful as the Countess Alexandrova, his love interest.

Anne Hathaway "Looks Like" Elaine Stewart .

Anne  Hathaway (born November 12, 1982),  first major role came in the short-lived television series "Get Real" (1999). She gained widespread recognition for her roles in The Princess Diaries (2001) and its 2004 sequel. She also performed in, Nicholas Nickleby (2002) and a starring role in, Ella Enchanted (2004). Hathaway, appeared topless in the films: Havoc (2005) and Brokeback Mountain (2005) .

Elaine Stewart (May 31, 1930 – June 27, 2011)  Nearing the end of her television career, she married actor Bill Carter. After her divorce from Carter, she married television producer Merrill Heatter on December 31, 1964. They had a son, Stewart, and a daughter, Gabrielle. Stewart made her debut by winning Miss See in See Magazine in 1952. She was in many magazines such as Playboy and Photoplay.

She had a supporting role in The Bad and the Beautiful (1952), as Laila. She appeared in other films, such as Brigadoon, Night Passage and The Adventures of Hajji Baba.

Stewart was also known as the co-hostess on two 1970s game shows, Gambit with Wink Martindale and the nighttime edition of High Rollers with Alex Trebek, which were both produced by her husband.

Dame Judith Anderson " Looks Like" Cornelia Otis Skinner .

Dame Judith Anderson(10 February 1898 – 3 January 1992), was an Australian actress of stage and screen. She won two Emmy Awards and a Tony Award and was also nominated for a Grammy Award and an Academy Award.

Cornelia Otis Skinner (May 30, 1899 – July 9, 1979) was an American author and actress.

Ladyeve, has always felt "Cornelia Otis Skinner's Miss Holloway must've been a not-too-distant relative of Judith Anderson's Mrs. Danvers".

Drew Barrymore " Looks Like" Sylvia Sidney.

Drew Barrymore (born February 22, 1975), actress, producer, and director. She is the granddaughter of actor John Barrymore. She first performed in an advertisement when she was eleven months old. Barrymore made her film debut in, Altered States (1980). Afterwards, she starred in her breakout role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. When I first started to put this "Looks Like" article together, I was pleasently suprised to learn that Patricia Neal, was the Grandmother, to her "look likes" granddaughter, Sophie Dahl. I also think that Patricia Neal "Looks Like", Christa Miller. To keep it fair :)

Christa Miller(born May 28, 1964), Is best known for her performances as Kate O'Brien on The Drew Carey Show and Jordan Sullivan on Scrubs (which was created by her husband Bill Lawrence). She has also made performances on Seinfeld, and CSI Miami. Since 2009, she has a starring role in the ABC sitcom Cougar Town, also created by husband Bill Lawrence.
