New 50's style dress on a rooftop

I apologise for being such a rubbish blogger this week. It's just been one of those weeks where you don't really feel like doing anything. It's all been a bit blah! Do you ever get like that? You know you should be productive but you just cant be bothered. So all I've done this week is get up, shower, dress, eat, read, watch a bit of TV, go to work, come home, sleep. Its been rubbish really. We did go to a festivally thing in the bay on Monday which was nice but thats it, honest.

Anyway I'm back now! And I had totally forgotten to post my giveaway winner. I choose her ages ago when the giveaway ended I just forgot to post it, silly me!
Without further ado.
The winner is Frances Joy! So if you could email me your address I shall be winging all your prizes out to you soon.

Ok so I still haven't finished my 30 for 30 and I promise I will do it soon, very soon. Like I have said before the outfits have been worn but the photos were not taken, coz I'm useless! lol! So here is another outfit from a while ago. This time the photos are on a rooftop carpark.

Dress: George at ASDA (via Scope charity shop £6!)
Shoes: George at ASDA
Hadn't realised they were both from ASDA till now. Gosh how supermarket clothing has changed. It all used to be boring and crappy or really basic stuff now it is just the same as any highstreet store.
Jacket: Clockhouse (C&A - Very old!)
Necklace: Algonquin national park gallery
Belt: Random (off a skirt)
Brooch: Vintage
Bow Ring: Internacionale
Hairband: Random (Canada)

Jon bought me this lovely dress a few weeks ago, after I had mentioned seeing it in the charity shop window the night before. I nipped in just to see what size it was, amazingly my size! So Jon said he would buy it for me, yay! Isn't it pretty! Very 1950's, yes?

Please check out my Day Zero blog, and Jon's new set of band photographs.

That's all I've got for now sorry ladies. But a Friend Friday post tomorrow!

Outfit made up of: 12+19+26
12. Fashion Union
19. F+F Tesco
26. George at ASDA
+
Black Tights
Primark Hairclip
Internacionale Bangle
3 Vintage Pearl nacklaces
1 Pearl necklace gift from my aunty
If it was a warm summer I would have worn this outfit without the tights but sadly this summer has been a bit crappy and wet, so tights all the way!
Day 22
Outfit made up of: 8+25+30
8. Matalan
25. Primark
30. J by Jasper Conran
+
Newlook Beads
Swapped Glittery Socks from Bethan
Sunglasses left in Pub! (lucky me!)
Black Tights
These glasses have a great silver pattern etched into the sides! They are really nice and they lay unclaimed in work for a week so I nabbed them! hehe!
So Im almost there now. Its about time I finished this challenge really.

So I have my mew challenge Day Zero. I talked about it a few posts ago but I have finally set up a little blog which I shall use to charter my progress on the challenge. You can see it here. Hopefully this will spur me on to keep going with the challenge and complete all 101 tasks. I've done 4 already and have started working on quite a few others.

30 for 30 challenge - Day 15

Hello ladies, as you can see there has been another reshuffle with my blog. Jon thought the colours were too dark and too harsh, so we have gone white. Is this better? No doubt I will change it again at some point (I get bored easily!).
So today I have another 30 for 30 outfit. I decided to to a mini remix challenge within this big remix challenge, so the next 4 days will be a remix of 1 dress. 1 Dress 4 Outfits. The dress in question is my H&M Chambray dress.
Here is the first look:
Outfit made up of 16+26
16. H&M Dress
26. George
+
Primark Tights
Random Wooden bangles
Algonquin Park Rain Cloud Necklace
Internacionale Black Bow Ring
These photos were taken in Cardiff in a small paved area behind the station, which has been turned into a mini park I suppose. Benches, fountains, tress and lights, but it's actually a kinda roundabout so I don't really know what to call it.

So there you have it Outfit 15 of my 30 for 30 challenge (half way at last!) and Outfit 1 for my mini remix on this dress.

On a last note, I would just like to say how great Emma Watson looks with her new pixie crop!
Her long hair was stunning on her but this really opens up her face and I think may lead to some new modelling contracts now that Burberry has dropped her. She looks so striking now!
What do you think? Are you a fan of the pixie crop?
I just dyed my hair a darker brown! So will show you all it in a few days.

Off to work worse luck!

30 for 30 challenge - Day 14

So finally another 30 for 30 outfit. I promise I am way ahead of day 14 I just haven't had time to take pictures. This is what I wore to the theatre tonight to see Calendar Girls, which was amazing by the way! The photos were taken after the show, in the park, so Jon could play with his new toy, a Sony HVL-42am Flash (think I got that right!) Hence all the dark pictures.
Outfit made up of 15 +26
15. Pop via PDSA
26. George
+
Primark Tights
ICE Necklace via Secret Sales
Internacionale Bangles
Primark Ring

Floating in the dark night sky
Afraid of the light
What do you think, like our new flashy photos? lol! We had great fun playing in the park at night but it was cold. We did wanna take the photos in the kids park but there was a big group of Chavs there so we had to go find somewhere else in the park. This big tree and bench seemed perfect.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway

Oh My Darlings Penpals and my lovely dress!!

The lovely Melissa over at Oh, My Darling is hosting another great swap. This time it's penpals. This is definitely a dying form of communication, and thats kinda sad. I used to have a penpal when I was younger but we met and became friends through comp so stopped sending letters. So now I am all grown up and would like some new adult penpals. This is why Melissa's swap is so great, you sign up and Melissa will group you with three other bloggers as a Dear Darling group, and you all become penpals. So if you fancy sending and receiving some letters and getting to know some new blog friends why not sign up too.

So now that I have my 3 lovely new penpals I need some fun stationary. So I thought I would do a quick etsy search for some Daisy Inspired stationary.
These are my favourites:
I love these simple cards by Monkey Mind Design 09.
These Lucky Bee Press card's are simplistically beautiful
These Apple Made cards are at the top of my list of ones to buy at the mo. I love the 'just saying hi' bit, it's so sweet.
Lastly how totally totally cute is this little card. I would love to receive a card like this for my birthday, it's such fun. Get them from Pango 78

So last night was my Mum's birthday night out and we went to a local tiny italian restaurant, which we all love. And I wore my new dress, my beautiful dress that made me break my 30 for 30 no shopping rule. It was well worth it though.
Isn't it pretty!?!? I don't mean to brag but I am rather chuffed with my £15 bargain!
Dress: Oasis
Shoes: George
Necklace and Bracelet: Gift from my Aunt
Back to my 30 for 30 pictures tomorrow (hopefully!)

30 for 30 challenge - Day 12 & 13 And the Wow Festival

Hello Ladies first I wanna say Happy Birthday to my Mum!! We are taking her out for a nice meal tonight and I shall be wearing the new dress I bought (here). This is the only day I have not worn my 30 for 30 items!

Here are the photos I promised from the Wow Festival in Cardiff Bay. It was an aerial acrobatic performance by Grupo Puja from Argentina. This is just a few of the many photos we have to give you a taste of what it was like. This was all performed hanging off a crane about 70foot in the air. It was amazing!
So now onto the outfits!
Day 12's outfit was for a second BBQ.
Outfit made up of 14+22+28
14. Dorothy Perkins
22. Apple Bottoms
28. Mustang
+
Miss Selfridge Bow headband
Hand Made Bracelet
Vintage Brooch
Vintage Rose Ring

Day 13's outfit was for a meeting. So needed to be smart-ish but still cool as this day was boiling hot!
Outfit made up of 2+18+26
2. Tommy Hilfiger
18. Next
26. George
+
Ice Necklace (via secret sales)
Turquoise Bracelet from Jackie

Both fairly simple outfits. I still have lots of options at the mo, so am not finding it too hard. When I hit 20 or so then it might get a little difficult!

How are you all doing in the challenge? Anyone finding it hard yet?
