My top Jackie Chan movie, why i like it? because this is the time where action scenes are done with out the CG effects that is being used today. It shows Jackie Chan's acrobatics and fight skills and had some of the best fighting scenes i had ever seen, especially the scene against the 4 women in high heels. And this was also the film that almost killed Jackie Chan because of a stunt that went wrong, which can be seen on the end of the movie where all stunts and bloopers will be shown. If your a fan of Jackie's movie today better see this classic film of his. Oh and by the way i heard rumors that there will be a third installment of this movie. I just hope it will top the first 2.

SURROGATES

Watching the movie Surrogates, makes me tell myself, hmmm, maybe i should own one myself. Hahahaha. Surrogates is one heck of a movie, its a science fiction detective action thriller all rolled into one. Surrogates is a movie about people having to stay in the safety of their homes, choosing to go into the world while "wearing" surrogates(a robot operated through virtual reality headsets). As a result, crime is at a standstill. However, following the deaths of two people when their surrogates are destroyed, detectives Tom Greer(Bruce Willis) and (Peters)Radha Mitchell investigate the first murders for years.

To my surprise, i like the movie, at first i as hesitant to rent it, but in the end I'm glad i did.

INVITATION ONLY

Ive heard that this movie is Taiwan's first ever slasher-horror film. Hmmm, Its a nice movie, although the movie is sort of a "Hostel" type of movie, if you like hostel then probably you'll like this one too. But still, its a nice slash/gore movie. Especially the sex scene involving Japanese AV star Maria Ozawa, wow shes smoking hot on that sex scene. If its a slasher/gore movie you want then its a nice movie to rent or buy a copy.

THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

One of the most funniest movie in the 90s, this movie help catapult Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz careers to new heights. The movie is outright hilarious and heartwarming.

The story is about Ted(Ben Stiller) who met a beautiful girl Mary(Cameron Diaz) during his teenage years. Their romance falls a short though as Ted accidentally got his dick caught in his zipper, which result being carried off in an ambulance, never to see Mary again.

Thirteen years later, Ted decides to track down Mary, and have a second chance with his dream girl. He hires a private eye, Pat Healy(Matt Dillon) to find her for him. Pat finds Mary whose all grown up and was way hotter than before. Pat decides he wants to date her. He stalks her, finds out everything she wants in a man, and poses as just that. Meanwhile, Ted has been led to believe that Mary has become fat white trash in a wheelchair.

As the story goes along almost every man in the story tried to make a move on Mary.

The movie maybe in the 90s but it still give me the laugh every time i saw it.

OUTLANDER

Wow. I didn't expect this to be good movie, but its sure is, its like a cross between beowulf/alien. It's a sci-fi/adventure movie wherein the lead character's(James Caviezel) space ship crashes in the Iron Age, among Vikings. The story is simple and yet gripping. The battle between the vikings plus a spaceman against an alien beast who i virtually invisible at night, can be cut by medieval metal( Its one unique beast ive seen so far). For sci fi fans, this one wont disappoint you.

DONKEY PUNCH

I rented this movie expecting a thriller/horror type of movie, well i was wrong. The story was nice at the beginning but all went down the drain at the middle till the end, you can tell what will happened during the course of the story. The story started out great with the 3 nice looking girls hooked up with 4 guys on their luxurious boat and heading out to sea. Then came the discussion about urban legend about sex technique, enter the subject of a Donkey Punch. The Donkey Punch is a sex technique where you punch a women in the back of the head, as you are about to achieve orgasm in the doggy style position, giving her involuntary spasms in a certain part of the female anatomy(Its an urban legend, so don't try this at home or to anyone). So one of the guys tried this technique on a girl then kills her in the process. Then chaos runs wild at the boat as to who will survive. Well you pretty well guess who will survive during this part of the film. My advice just rent this one just to get a laugh with your close friends about the Donkey Punch technique.

YES MAN

i like Jim Carrey, especially from his movies The Mask, Ace Ventura and Dumb and dumber and Bruce Almighy. But lately Jim Carrey's movie wasn't that great compare to his other movie, maybe because it wasn't a comedy flick? Maybe, but his recent movies like Number 23, Fun with Dick and Jane wasnt much a success. I hope this one does. Yes man is a typical Jim Carrey Movie, funny, feel good type of movie. The story is about Carl Allen(Jim Carrey) a man with no adventure, no self esteem, after his wife divorce him. But one day he met his old schoolmate Nick which convinces him to join a program called Yes Man. After the program Carl's life begins a turn around and this is where the fun begins.

Yes man is a good comedy if you want a good laugh, romance, and the movie also brings a good message to it.

4BIA

I didn't know what to expect about this movie when i first rented it, all i know is that its a horror flick. What can I say I'm glad I rent it. 4bia is an anthology of four horror stories of about a half hour each. If i would rate the 4 story i would say:

The first one is my favorite, its a It's a very simple tale about a girl resting at home alone with a broken leg who gets haunted by a ghost through text messages, what i like about this, is that most of the part there is no dialog, most of the story flow through the text message of the cellphone.

The second one was bad, Its about a group of students who bullied a nerdy kid, and the nerdy kid seeks revenge. The CG was bad and the story was way too predictable.

The third was not that bad compared to the 2nd one, The story was about 4 friends camping and trying to scare each other with ghost stories, and when one of them accidentally drowned during their rafting. A little funny a little scare here and there.

The fourth was my second best. A flight attendant is requested to transport the corpse of a princess whose husband she was having an affair with. Can you just imagine you and a corpse alone. The suspense wasn't as good as the first but still it was great.

So if you happened to go by your video store, don't forget to pick this one.

DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION

First of all Im an avid anime fan, anime such as naruto,bleach and yes I like the Dragonball series and its movie. So back to Dragonball Evolution, my God who made this film, i mean the story, the characters was way off, an exact u turn from the anime series, the only correct thing that they've done is the names of each character hahahaha. For Dragonball fans please don't watch this movie. For starter's you got a Goku who doesnt look near the original one, a lousy kamehameha, a midget size saiyan ape(Kingkong is much bigger than this pathetic ape of theirs), a Piccolo who looks like the Martian Man from the Justice League, there's more fighting scenes from the Matrix and a much better one to. I can go for hours writing all the things bad about this movie and from the look of things at the end part, it looks like they plan to make another movie about this. What a very disappointing one.

WALL-E

When I arrive home I can hear my younger brother's laugh from my fathers room, so curious to see why he's laughing out loud, only to discover hes watching a animated movie titled WALL-E, and he said come watch this its a nice one, So I said Ill just rent one to see it through the beginning. And to my surprise wow what a nice movie, very very very nice. The animation was excellent but what struck me is the story, it was brilliant Pixar has always made great animation films. But this, without a doubt, tops all of their own film, and most other films. It restores faith in the animation films. It captures the magic and wonder as past Disney films, which is something I have not seen in most modern animation films.

WALL-E is a square-bodied, binocular-faced little robot which lives on earth for the sole purpose of to compact garbage in an attempt to clean up the now deserted earth, which has become an endless desert of waste. For several years of unending routine of compacting garbages, suddenly was interrupted by the landing of a spaceship that sends out a sleek, white chrome, advanced robot that's mission is to search Wall E's wasteland home for signs of life. That probe's name is Eve, after seeing Eve Wall E was fascinated by the Eve. So begins a touching story of romance and adventure.

I have watch plenty of films from Pixar . But this one, tops it all and most other films. It restores faith in the animation films. It captures the magic and wonder as past Disney films, which is something I have not seen in most modern animation films.
